Online therapy and counselling

Online counselling is an convenient alternative to having a face to face session. The sessions take place online through a secure internet platform either by live video or by live chat. The counselling can also take place by email where an agreed number of email exchanges take place during an agreed time.

There are many reasons why online counselling might work best for you, for example:

  • You don’t live in the area
  • You are a frequent traveller
  • You have limited childcare
  • Illness or physical impairments

Our online or email sessions

Our online sessions will take place via an online conferencing service similar in use to Skype. Because it is specifically designed for online client and patient appointments it has a higher level of security and encryption to protect your privacy. You do not need to download any software to attend our online appointments.

Counselling by email provides another option of receiving therapy. The benefits to email counselling are that you do not have to be at your computer at any set time and can choose when to write according to your own needs and schedule. Writing down your thoughts and feelings as they occur rather than having to wait for your session can be a beneficial way of unloading some of your mental burden and relieving stress.
