Online Zoom Counselling

About me

Hello, my name is Sue, I work with adults, both individuals and couples (over 18), from all walks of life. I see clients online using Zoom, and also in person for those living in my local area (near Hull).

About you

Right now, you may be experiencing depression, anxiety, low confidence, or low self-esteem, or you may have experienced trauma, abuse or other stresses during your adult life or childhood and are wanting to find a way to feel better.

How might counselling help you?

Counselling and psychotherapy can help in several ways.  For example, it can help you to learn ways to understand and make sense of situations and feelings that you are experiencing. It can help you learn and understand more about yourself and to find practical solutions to your problems that work for you.

You don't only need to be at rock bottom though, either as an individual, or as a couple to benefit from counselling. You may also not be sure why you want counselling, but hope that it could help to explore what's going on and help you to begin to understand yourself better, as well as giving you a safe place to have your story heard.

A creative approach

Counselling can sometimes feel like a lot of talking, and you may find yourself feeling lost for words. When this happens a more creative approach might be beneficial, so I offer a variety of creative activities that can help. Creative approaches can help you to describe what you're going through without necessarily having to find the words and can reach those parts of your experience that talking on its own may have missed. This approach covers a range of different interventions and may include, for example, using Russian dolls, drawing, sand tray, fairy tales and cards. All these activities can be adapted to use effectively online as well as in person. Using a creative approach may feel a less threatening approach to working through some difficulties than simply talking.

If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message.
