Nadia | Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Counselling Chobham

If you’re experiencing work-related anxietystress or overwhelm, feeling burnt out, living with a constant feeling of dread about going to work, firstly, you're not alone. The pressures of work and our working environment can deeply affect our mental health, confidence, and self-esteem. We often attach our self-worth to our title, role or to feedback from those we work with. Constantly striving to do better, to achieve more, to be seen as ‘good enough’.   What we 'do' can become a large part of our identity, shaping our view not only of ourself, but how we believe others view us too.

How therapy can help

Following my 29 year corporate career, the past decade of which was in a Head of People role, I gained a deep appreciation of the impact experiences in (and outside) the workplace can have on us, shaping how we view ourselves and how we relate to others.

It led me to retrain firstly as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and then as a Coach, with a special interest in supporting individuals navigating the impact of their mental health either on their work or due to their work and working environment, including:

  • Anxietystress and burnout
  • Low mood and depression
  • The emotional labour, often unspoken of, in your role
  • Anticipatory anxiety arising ahead of performance reviews, 1-2-1’s, disciplinaries, redundancy consultations or settlement discussions
  • Feelings of shameanger, guilt and loss
  • Moving forward from workplace bullyingabuse or sexual harassment
  • Exploring the impact on your relationships outside of work
  • Rediscovering your self-worthconfidence and sense of identity
  • Establishing healthy boundaries and relationships at work and in life
  • I have worked with individuals in the NHS and in blue light roles experiencing the added complexity of traumatic events and experiences in the workplace and can support you in this area too
  • If you are in an HR or People role, I understand the hidden weight you carry, often with little or no support, even though you deserve a space to be held too

My approach

In my practice, I welcome you as you are. There is no need to find an acceptable language or way of being. Working collaboratively, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and experiences, through honest conversation, compassionate enquiry, and gentle challenge, enabling you to reflect, gain insight, and rebuild your sense of self-worth, belief and confidence, using the quiet courage and resilience that brought you here.

I offer therapy online across the UK, and in person in Chobham. For those that prefer the therapeutic environment offered by nature, I offer walk and talk therapy too.

Support for Young People 12+

Alongside private practice I am approved counsellor for Sir Williams Perkins School & Sixth Form in Chertsey and I also do some work for Safe Support, a charity supporting young people that have been the victims of bullying and crime, experienced trauma through domestic abuse and violence
or vicarious trauma, and bring this collective experience into my private practice.

I support young people experiencing anxietyOCDemotional overwhelmemotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), feeling the weight of expectation and stress during exam periods, and those navigating those moments in life when we can't always find the words to express how we feel.

If you are looking for support for yourself or a member of your family, please do get in touch.  From Feburary 2026, I will have space for young people aged 14+.

About me

As a young adult I experienced generalised anxiety disorder and my thinking, decisions, relationships, and early working life were shaped by my own mental health struggles.  Seeking support through therapy, helped.

After a 29-year corporate career, the past 10+ of which were served as in an HR role, I bring a deep appreciation and understanding of career and workplace challenges, no matter their root cause, to the therapy room.   I also work with Anxiety and OCD, life transitions, identity, grief and loss.

My training was relational in nature which means I place our therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work.  Working collaboratively, we may explore the impact of your past on your present which may provide insight and understanding as to our current experiences and relational patterns in order to help us find new ways forward or we may take a more solution focused approach; I hold the firm belief that you are the expert in your own life and you will always determine where the work goes.

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), you can trust in the professionalism and confidentiality of our work together.

Next Steps

I understand the process of finding a therapist can be overwhelming in itself and you are therefore welcome to meet me in person, over video or on the phone, for a free, no obligation, 20 minute introductory chat in which you can ask any questions you may have about therapy or how I work.

You are welcome to email, text or call. If you phone, please do leave a voicemail as I am not always able to answer immediately but I will always call back within 48 hours.

I look forward to meeting you.
