Fee | Counsellor / Psychotherapist

Counselling and Psychotherapy Liverpool

If you’ve landed here, chances are you’re tired.
And not just the “really need a nap” kind of tired, but the deep, soul-level exhaustion that comes from holding everything together for too long.

Maybe you’re living with a body that won’t cooperate, or a nervous system that’s constantly on high alert. Maybe you’re still untangling the impact of trauma, or you’ve spent years being “the strong one” for everyone else and now there’s nothing left in the tank for you.

Whatever shape your story takes, you deserve a place to finally tell it and gently set down the weight you’ve been carrying, even if it's just for a little while.
You deserve a space where you can be seen exactly as you are.
Without having to perform, be strong or wear a mask that says “I’m fine”.

So, hi, I’m Fee, an integrative counsellor and Psychotherapist hoping to offer you this space.
One that’s warm, safe, and real, where you don’t have to fight to be heard or believed.

My work is grounded in person-centred values, which means I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to be by your side while we try to make sense of things together.

I don’t believe you need to be fixed (because you’re not broken!), but what you probably need is somewhere that feels safe enough to just be, without having to perform, explain, or apologise for existing.
In my experience, the most healing moments often come when we feel truly seen and accepted and finally start to believe that actually, we’ve always been enough as we are.

I have particular experience and interest in supporting people living with chronic illness or neurological conditions (especially FND), as well as those healing from trauma.
Whether that’s childhood experiences, sexual/domestic or narcissistic abuse, medical trauma and gaslighting or the quieter kind of pain that’s harder to name but nonetheless heavy to carry.

I also have a lot of experience in working with people with ADHD and/or ASD, especially when diagnosed later in life.
Additionally, I work a lot with people from the LGBTQIA+ community. I can promise you, that you will never have to educate me - I will meet you with understanding and compassion.
Of course, that’s not the only kind of work I do; I regularly support clients with anxiety or depression, burnout, identity questions, self-esteem issues, or the general messiness and pain of being a human in this world.

Sometimes life doesn’t have a neat label for what you’re experiencing.
It just feels heavy, and that’s reason enough to reach out.
You don’t have to do this alone!

In our sessions, we’ll work collaboratively and always at your pace.
Because I’m trained integratively, I can adapt to your needs, personality, and what feels most helpful for you by drawing from a wide variety of therapeutic approaches to create something that genuinely fits you as an individual.
Us humans are layered and complex, which is why I believe that therapy should never be a one-size-fits-all model.

Therapy with me is like a gentle conversation. Sometimes emotional, messy, or filled with silences.
But always grounded in care, curiosity, and collaboration. I’m not an expert in your life - you are.
I’m not here to analyse you from a distance or pretend I’ve got it all figured out.

In the therapy room, I bring my full self - not a polished professional persona, but a real human who’s here to really see and accept you, just as you are.
That means there’s often space for laughter, connection, and moments of lightness in the heavy. Therapy can be serious and deep, yes, but it can also be warm, human, and real.

This is a space where you don’t have to pretend to be okay. You don’t have to hold it all together or be a certain version of yourself.
Here, you’re allowed to feel what you feel and be exactly where you are at.

I hope to offer you a place to untangle, understand, and maybe even start to feel like yourself again.

If you’re still here reading this, maybe something about it has resonated, even if just a tiny bit.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call to all prospective clients so you can get a feel for me and how I work before deciding whether you’d like to work with me.
It’s simply a chance to connect and see if this feels like the right fit for you. No pressure either way, just two people having a conversation.

If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message via the send a message - button.

Online therapy

I offer online therapy for anyone who prefers to work from the comfort of their own space.
Whether that's your sofa, your bed on a flare-up day, or wherever feels safest for you.

Sessions work in the same way as in-person therapy: we sit together, talk, pause, breathe, reflect and go at your pace. The only difference is the screen between us.

I’m flexible with platforms and happy to use whatever works best for you. I currently offer sessions via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, WhatsApp video or FaceTime, but if you would prefer a different one please let me know and we will work something out.

If you have specific accessibility needs or preferences (camera on/off, slower pace, sensory consideration, breaks, etc), we can shape the online space around what helps you feel most comfortable.

Online therapy is still real therapy - warm, human, connected and grounded. You don’t need a perfect setup or perfect lighting.
Just yourself, somewhere you feel safe, and a device that connects us.

Specialisations and Expertises

I work most often with trauma, chronic illness, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ and the quiet emotional exhaustion that comes from coping for too long.
There isn’t a universal number of sessions because humans are not flat-pack furniture with instruction sheets and Allen keys.

Some people come for a short time to get support during a rough patch, others stay longer to gently unlearn survival mode, build safety, and reconnect with who they are underneath all the coping. There is no rush here and no “shouldn’t you be over this by now?”. We go at your pace, and we do it in a way that actually feels human.

I offer open-ended sessions so we can work together for as long or as little as feels helpful to you.

Most common issues I support people with:

1. Chronic illness and complex health experiences
Living with a body or nervous system that doesn’t play ball can be exhausting, lonely, and confusing. I support people navigating diagnosis limbo, medical trauma or medical gaslighting, identity shifts and the emotional weight of “just keep going”.

2. Trauma and difficult past experiences
Whether it's childhood trauma, domestic or sexual abuse, narcissistic abuse, relational harm, or the quieter wounds that shaped you, we go gently. No rushing, no “move on now”, no shame for how you learned to survive.

3. Neurodivergence (late-identified or exploring)
Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, or a lifetime of feeling “different”. We unpick masking, burnout, misdiagnosis, identity questions and finally get curious about who you are when you don’t have to perform.

4. LGBTQIA+ identity, belonging and lived experience
A space where you never have to explain, shrink, or educate. Whether you're exploring identity, coming out later in life, unpacking internalised stuff or simply wanting a therapist who gets it; You are welcome exactly as you are.

5. Relationships & attachment wounds
Whether you struggle to trust, feel safe with others, or show up as yourself in relationships, we explore patterns that came from survival - and learn new ones rooted in safety and connection.
