Counselling & Psychotherapy Peacehaven
How I work
I’m a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.
My job is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk things through and be yourself; no pressure, no judgement.
I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all way to do counselling. Everyone’s different, so we’ll work in a way that suits you, your personality, what you’re dealing with, and what feels comfortable. We’ll go at your pace, and you’ll always have a say in what our sessions look like.
At the heart of my work is the belief that you know yourself better than anyone else. I’m here to listen, understand, and support you as you make sense of your thoughts and feelings. You don’t have to have the “right words”, we’ll figure things out together.
If talking feels hard, that’s okay. I often use creative ways of working too, like art, drawing, or activities, which can make expressing yourself feel easier and less intense.
If sitting still isn’t your thing, that’s totally fine; we can walk, move around, or do something that feels more comfortable.
Counselling with me is about working together in a way that feels relaxed, supportive, and real, helping you feel more understood, more confident, and better able to handle whatever life is throwing at you.
I offer counselling both in person and online.
Online therapy
I use Teams and Zoom for online therapy.Online counselling offers a flexible and convenient way to meet with me from the comfort of your own space. We connect through a secure, confidential video platform, where we can talk, reflect, and work on strategies just as we would in person. Sessions are interactive and supportive, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings safely, wherever you are.
Qualifications and registrations
I’m a registered member of the BACP and bring both professional experience and life experience to my work with adults.
My journey into counselling grew from a 20-year career in education, where I worked as a teacher and later as a leader. During that time, I was always drawn to the pastoral side of school life, being there for young people and families, supporting them through the ups and downs of school and home life. Those experiences, along with my roles as a mental health coordinator and youth advice practitioner, have given me a deep understanding of the emotional and practical challenges that adults face.
I’ve spent many years working closely with neurodiverse adults, which is something I care about deeply. I’m passionate about truly understanding each person’s unique strengths, challenges, and ways of experiencing the world.
Over the years, I’ve developed a broad range of skills and experience that support adults in navigating life’s challenges. I’m experienced in helping people cope with stress, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and issues around confidence and self-identity.

Specialisations and Expertises
Many of my clients come to me with difficulties related to stress and relationships. I also work extensively with issues around identity, including cultural or sexual identity, helping people explore and understand themselves in a safe, supportive space. I have significant experience working with neurodiverse adults, and I bring a flexible, understanding approach that values each person’s unique way of experiencing the world.
Grief is another area I specialise in, something I have both lived and professional experience with, and I feel privileged to support people through such a deeply personal and often challenging process
Most common issues I support people with:
How I might help you
Are you finding it hard to move forward after losing someone you love? Grief can stir up so many emotions, and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. Together, we can gently explore what you’re feeling and find a way to move through it at your own pace.
Is stress or anxiety making everyday life feel heavy? You don’t have to face it alone. We can look at what’s contributing to these feelings and discover practical ways to help you feel more calm and in control.
Are you feeling unsure of who you are or navigating big changes in life? It’s natural to question yourself during these times. I can help you reconnect with your values, your strengths, and what truly matters to you.
Are relationships or family challenges leaving you frustrated or drained? Together, we can explore these dynamics and find ways to communicate, cope, and feel more confident in your interactions.
Do you feel stuck, low in confidence, or uncertain about your next steps? I’m here to help you reflect, uncover your strengths, and take small steps forward in a way that feels right for you.
