Online and Telephone Counselling

If you are looking for a qualified Counsellor to help you through a difficult time, you have come to the right place. I am a calm, friendly and professional Counsellor, and I believe passionately in helping others to improve their mental health and quality of life.

I do not believe that ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to counselling, I respect that you are an individual who has a unique set of life experiences, and a unique response to them - I try my best to understand you and what you have experienced, and I tailor my approach accordingly. I calmly listen to whatever it is that you want to talk about; I listen without judgement.

I offer you some time in your busy day to day life that is just for you; for you to talk about the things you may not be able to talk about with anyone else, for you to identify and explore your feelings and experiences, for you to start to understand things differently, for you to feel heard.

Counselling can vary dramatically, depending on the Counsellor – the type of counselling they offer, and who they are as an individual. It is very important to find the Counsellor who suits you; who offers you the kind of counselling, the kind of support, that you need at this time, and who you feel comfortable enough with to explore your current situation with.

How I work

I offer confidential one to one counselling; via telephone or zoom, whichever suits you best.

In terms of confidentiality and the type of support I offer, my way of working is the same in all settings, whether online or over the telephone.

When you decide to book an appointment we would arrange a time for me to call/ zoom you; you would need to be in a private, comfortable place, where you are able to talk about things openly.  I would be in a private room, on my own; and everything we talk about would be confidential.

Online therapy

I offer telephone or zoom counselling.

Statement concerning the coronavirus pandemic

I also offer face to face counselling from my office in Huddersfield.

For face-to-face sessions, since Covid-19, I wipe down door handles, chair arms, pens, tables and anything else a client may reasonably come into contact with in the counselling room.

I hope the precautions I take mean that all clients are comfortable to attend face-to-face sessions.

Qualifications and registrations

I am a registered member of the professional body, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I work in-line with their ethics and standards, ensuring that my practice is ethical and safe for my clients. I also hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate.

I am a qualified Counsellor, with additional training in a number of areas.

I have achieved the following:

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy & Counselling
