Hello, my name is Juliet. I’m a qualified counsellor with a deep commitment to helping people explore, understand, and heal from life’s challenges.

 

I offer both long-term and short-term therapy, as well as Bereavement Counselling.

I work face-to-face in Leeds, also offering sessions online and by telephone.

My role is to support you with empathy, honesty, and care, wherever you are on your journey.

I offer a warm, down-to-earth space to explore whatever you're facing: grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck.  My approach is compassionate, honest, and tailored to you. I take a neurodivergent affirming approach for clients who are neurodivergent, such as Autism, ADHD and AuDHD. I offer a 20-minute free chat to see if we'd be a good fit as client and counsellor.

I’ve always believed: that humans are made to communicate, and when we do so in a safe, supportive space, incredible change is possible.

I’ve seen firsthand how therapy can help people not only survive difficult times but also rediscover themselves, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. It’s a privilege to walk alongside people as they make sense of their experiences and emotions.

A key aspect of my approach is fostering self-awareness and understanding. I believe that when we begin to truly understand ourselves, our thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and patterns, we unlock the potential for lasting change. Whether you’re dealing with grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, or simply feeling stuck, therapy offers a space where you can be heard without judgment and explore what’s going on beneath the surface.

Online therapy

I offer online therapy using Doxy.me which is a private and secure video platform.

There is no need to download any software or make an account. I send a link for you to click on where you are taken to my virtual waiting room.

I am also happy to discuss other online video platforms if you have a preference.

Qualifications and registrations

  • Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

  • Certificate in counselling skills

  • Trained with Cruse Bereavement Care

  • Qualified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA)

  • Understanding Autism Level 2

  • Accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)

  • Fully insured. Undergo regular CPD, including: Autistic Burnout, Self-harm awareness, Bereaved by suicide, Trans awareness, Sudden and traumatic death, Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and Substance abuse

Grief and Loss

Grieving is a natural and normal response when someone we love has died. It can bring with it feelings of overwhelming sadness, anger, guilt, or anxiety. It is not unusual to suffer from feelings of emptiness, depression, loneliness, sadness and pain.

If you're finding it hard to cope with your loss, experiencing overwhelming emotions, or struggling to manage day-to-day life over an extended period, Bereavement Therapy and Grief Counselling may be helpful for you.


How can Bereavement Therapy and Grief Counselling help? 

Everyone is unique, and so is grief. Bereavement Therapy and Grief Counselling are both therapies that are tailored to help support you through the emotional challenges of loss. 

 

These sessions offer a safe, confidential space where you can:

  • Receive one-to-one support as you explore and process your emotions

  • Reflect on how you're coping and develop new strategies to manage day-to-day life

  • Talk openly about your grief and its impact, helping you make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and changing world​

Support is available in whatever format feels right for you — whether that's face-to-face sessions in Leeds, over the phone, or via secure online video sessions.

How many Sessions will I need?

I often suggest that 6 sessions is a good place to start. However, everyone is unique and it may be that you only need one session to talk through what you have been through or you may want long term regular support.

Session cost: £50 

A consession price of £35 is available for students and those on a low income.
