Steph | Accredited Integrative Counsellor

Counselling Littlehampton

I believe therapy works for everyone but I see the benefit of ensuring a client feels looked after and cared for as you enter what can feel like an overwhelming experience. This is your space, where your needs can get time to be listened to in a way you can't always do in other parts of your life.

You might be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, shame or family/relational issues or any number of things.  Any immediate difficulties you are facing we will focus on first, possibly using CBT methods to support you, help you cope, and facilitate change. The therapeutic relationship we will have is at the core of our sessions allowing you to feel heard, understood and hopeful again.
Once you are feeling ready, we can journey through more of what feels important to you, going at your own pace or challenging life aspects here and there if you feel that is what you need. We can set goals or just use this space to unpack.

As an integrative counsellor I have a client led approach at the heart of our sessions. I use techniques and interventions from a range of counselling approaches tailoring this to you. It is likely over our sessions you will experience a range of models, such as CBT, TA, Narrative, SFBT and more. We can work together to best suit your individual needs.

If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message via the send a message - button.

Online therapy

Online therapy is a great and convenient way to have therapy.

Using Zoom, I will send you an appointment link by email each week. We will then meet for a 50min session as we would if we were meeting in person.

Should there be any technical issues, I provide a phone number to contact me on.

I ensure I have a nice quiet space and if you can do the same we can create a theraputic and confidential space.

Any questions about working online together, please feel free to ask.

Specialisations and Expertises

I have worked with a wide range of issues, everyone is different with thier own story which makes my job a privilege. I often find clients come to me with issues around:

Panic attacks & Anxiety

Grief and loss - perhaps in relationship break-downs, death, illness or incapcity, life as a carer, life cycle changes like empty nest or elderly parents.

Low self-esteem and/or imposter syndrome

Identity issues, perhaps feeling something is amiss, loss of identity through parenting, or work.

Relationship issues romantically or with family and friends.

I mention these as common things to bring to therapy but the list goes on and I hope to create a space where you can explore what is weighing you down far beyond this list.

You can choose how long you want to commit to therapy. I usually suggest commiting to at least 6 sessions, most of my clients find they get a lot out of the process and often want to do several months or even longer. Most clients will notice postive changes within the few weeks of therapy.

Most common issues I support people with:

Panic attacks & Anxiety

Grief and loss - perhaps in relationship break-downs, death, illness or incapcity, life as a carer, life cycle changes like empty nest or elderly parents.
