Terezia | Child, Young person and Family psychotherapist

Introduction

As a Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, I specialise in supporting children, teenagers, and families through emotional and developmental challenges.

I have experience working with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, school stress, relationship struggles, family changes, autism, ADHD, and learning differences. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when a young person is struggling, and I aim to create a safe, supportive space where they can feel understood and begin to make sense of their feelings.

My approach is child-centred, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed. I often use play and creative methods with younger children, while offering reflective talking therapy for teenagers. I also work closely with parents and carers, recognising the vital role families play in supporting resilience and long-term emotional wellbeing.

Alongside my private practice, I have worked in schools and specialist NHS clinics, giving me experience of working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals. This helps me to think systemically about each child or young person, ensuring the support fits their wider context.

I believe every young person deserves the chance to feel heard, valued, and supported. Whether the goal is to manage anxiety, navigate adolescence, improve relationships, or cope with change, therapy can provide the space and tools needed to move forward with greater confidence and self-awareness.

If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message via the send a message - button.

Online therapy

I believe face-to-face therapy is usually best for children, but online sessions can be a good alternative when needed. For older children, teenagers, or parents, I offer confidential Zoom sessions, arranged on the same day and time each week to provide consistency and support.
