Lisa | Integrative Counsellor - Registered BACP
Integrative Counselling Folkestone
I believe that having a therapeutic approach rooted in empathy, respect and collaboration are the crucial qualities that a counselling service can provide and are at the heart of my practice. Providing a supportive space that helps you gain a better understanding of yourself will give you the tools to develop coping skills and resilience needed to heal. If you’re ready to start, then I’m here to listen and support you find your path forward.
With most things in life taking the first step towards getting help is often the hardest and finding the right match when looking for professional help can seem overwhelming. By reading this profile you’re already taking the first step in your journey which gives you an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of yourself.
Throughout my journey to becoming a qualified and registered BACP professional I have gained experience by working with an Integrative approach, which I believe is essential for me to offer the right support for your potentially changing needs. I can support with a variety of issues including anxiety, stress, & everyday challenges that can occur at work or in your relationships. Throughout my time as a counsellor I have also gained in-depth knowledge and understanding of working with clients who have experienced physical, emotional & sexual abuse either in childhood or as an adult.
I will offer you a safe place for us to open the boxes you may have built for yourself as it’s so often the case to store painful or difficult memories and feelings away – that’s my mission, to provide a safe and nurturing environment for you to explore your past, present and future feelings.
I also recognise that everyone is different and so look to provide in person, online and a blend of both to make sure that we can tailor the sessions to set you up for success. The online sessions help give you flexibility in what can be already feel like a big step to take.
When we first connect the key aim is for us to agree what ‘better’ would look like for you and how you’d like things to change.
Online therapy
I use Googe Meet to provide online counselling sessions.I believe that online counselling can be hugely beneficial to ensuring that you get the support you need when and how you choose.
