Introduction
How therapy can help you
Hello, I am an experienced and fully qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist based in Caterham, Surrey. I work with adults and offer short term or open-ended, in person or online sessions.
As human beings we have natural and healthy needs, to feel seen, understood, valued, and included. When these needs go unmet, either in childhood or as adults, it can cause deep psychological wounds, leading to a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relational challenges.
The benefits of psychodynamic psychotherapy can be profound. By unraveling unconscious patterns, we can unlock a deeper understanding of your experiences, leading to lasting positive change. This therapeutic approach equips you with valuable coping mechanisms, enriches your interpersonal relationships, and facilitates personal growth.
What to expect
Thinking about change can be daunting, even when it’s needed. In our therapy sessions, I aim to create a safe, collaborative space where we can gently explore and question the unconscious habits holding you back.
My approach is non-judgmental and compassionate, mindful of experiences of prejudice and discrimination. In this supportive environment, trust, healing, and insight can flourish, empowering long term change.

I specialise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief and childhood trauma. Reaching out for therapy often comes from a place of uncertaintly, confusion or distress. The experience of suffering can feel very upsetting and painful. You might be noticing patterns that have repeated in previous relationships, or a sense of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. It might be that your difficulties are triggered by a recent loss, or difficulties in the workplace or relationally with other people in your life.
My role is to work with you to try and understand the root cause of your suffering and try to make sense of what are often unconcious or unknown drivers for behavour and thinking.
