Person-Centred Counselling Wombourne
Hi, I’m Mark, a BACP registered person-centred counsellor offering in-person counselling in Wombourne (WV5), near Wolverhampton, as well as online and telephone therapy across the UK.
Many people contact me when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or under pressure while appearing to cope well on the surface. You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, low confidence or self-esteem, or navigating a significant life change. Counselling offers a space to slow down, make sense of patterns, and develop a clearer understanding of yourself and your experiences.
My approach is calm, thoughtful and non-directive. This means therapy moves at your pace, without pressure or judgement. Together we focus on understanding how past experiences, coping strategies and patterns may be influencing your present, helping you move forward in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
I work with a wide range of clients, including neurodivergent adults, and aim to provide a supportive, non-pathologising space where you can talk openly and feel taken seriously. Each person’s situation is unique, and therapy is shaped collaboratively around what feels most helpful for you.
If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, you’re welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation with no obligation. This approach can work equally well whether meeting in person in Wombourne or working together remotely.
Online therapy
I offer online counselling via secure video (Google Meet) or telephone sessions, allowing you to access support from wherever feels most comfortable for you. Online therapy works in much the same way as in-person counselling, providing a confidential space to talk openly and explore what’s on your mind.
Video sessions are simple to access and require no specialist technical knowledge. Many clients find online therapy convenient, flexible and just as effective as meeting face to face. Sessions last 60 minutes and take place at an agreed time, providing a consistent and supportive space wherever you are.

Specialisations and Expertises
I specialise in working with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Many clients seek support when they feel overwhelmed or stuck despite appearing to cope well on the surface.
My approach is person-centred and non-directive, offering a calm and thoughtful space where therapy moves at your pace. Rather than focusing on diagnosis or quick solutions, we work together to understand patterns, build insight, and support meaningful and sustainable change.
I also work with neurodivergent clients, including autistic and ADHD adults, providing an affirming and non-pathologising approach tailored to individual needs.
The number of sessions varies depending on each person’s goals and circumstances. Some clients attend for a focused short-term period, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and personal development.
Most common issues I support people with:
Anxiety and Stress
Many clients seek counselling when they feel overwhelmed, anxious, or under constant pressure. Therapy offers a calm space to explore underlying patterns and develop a more manageable relationship with stress and worry.
Burnout and Overwhelm
I work with people experiencing emotional exhaustion, pressure to cope, or feeling stretched beyond their limits. Together we explore sustainable ways of understanding and responding to these experiences.
Relationship Difficulties
This includes challenges in romantic relationships, family dynamics, communication patterns, and recurring relational difficulties. Individual counselling can help bring clarity and support meaningful change in these areas.
Low Self-Esteem and Confidence
Clients often come feeling self-critical or uncertain about themselves. Therapy focuses on developing deeper self-understanding and a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Neurodiversity
I support neurodivergent adults, including autistic and ADHD clients, offering an affirming and non-pathologising space to explore identity, relationships and life experiences.
