Mark | BACP Registered Person-Centred Counsellor
Person-Centred Counselling Wombourne
Hi, I'm Mark and I'm a BACP-registered counsellor offering a calm, confidential and supportive space where you can talk freely at your own pace. I work gently and collaboratively, valuing your individual experiences and supporting you to develop greater self-understanding and emotional awareness. My warm, empathic approach can help with anxiety, low mood, stress and relationship difficulties. I also work with clients who are exploring their neurodivergence and how to live more authentically in an intolerant world.
I offer a calm, confidential and supportive space where you can talk openly and at your own pace. Counselling is shaped around you, your experiences and what feels most important to bring. Sessions are warm, collaborative and non-judgemental, with the aim of helping you feel heard, understood and accepted.
If you are living with anxiety, low mood or emotional overwhelm, counselling can provide a place to slow things down and make sense of what you are experiencing. You do not need to know where to begin - we can explore things gently, in a way that feels manageable and respectful of your pace.
If you are neurodivergent, or wondering whether you might be, counselling can support you to better understand yourself and how you experience the world. As a neurodivergent person, I bring both professional understanding and lived experience, which can help create a space where differences are recognised, respected and explored. This may include identity, masking, burnout, self-acceptance and finding ways of living that feel more authentic and sustainable.
If relationships feel difficult or confusing, counselling can help you explore patterns, boundaries and communication, and reflect on what you need within your connections with others. Together, we can deepen self-understanding and support change that feels meaningful and right for you.
I am a Master's qualified, BACP-registered person-centred counsellor, and my work is informed by both professional training and lived experience, helping me to meet you with empathy, sensitivity and respect.
Counselling is a second career for me, following 25 years in the corporate world. That experience gives me insight into the pressures, expectations and challenges many people face in their working lives, as well as how stress, burnout or self-doubt can affect wellbeing and relationships. I bring this understanding into counselling to support you in exploring your own experiences, managing challenges and finding ways to navigate life more effectively and authentically.
Online therapy
I use Google Meet for all online therapy sessions. A unique meeting link will automatically be emailed to you when a session is booked. All you need is a private space where you won't be disturbed during the session, and a compatible smartphone, tablet or computer. It's completely up to you whether you have your camera turned on or off for a particular session.
If you're not comfortable having your counselling session online, you could opt for a telephone session. In this case I simply call you at the appointed time.

Most common issues I support people with:
- Neurodivergence: supporting clients as they explore and make sense of their identity in a world which can be indifferent or hostile to difference.- Relationships: I work with clients who are navigating challenges in their relationships by providing a secure place in which to explore patterns, boundaries and communication.
- Anxiety: together we can gently explore and shine a light on those aspects of your life where you're not living in alignment with your true self which can be a serious cause of psychological tension.
- Depression: sometimes we feel extreme sadness for no apparent reason - often for extended periods of time. When we feel depressed this can be our body telling us that something needs attention. With the right support this can be a fertile place for transformation.
