Sukeina | Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Counselling and Psychotherapy Peterborough
You will be met in a safe space, where I will offer a deep sense of understanding and experience what it means to be truly seen. I hold over 15 years experience within the NHS. I work with a variety of issues amongst those hold specialisms in Anxiety, Autism, ADHD, Trauma, Depression and Relationship issues.
I am a UKCP accredited relational Integrative Psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience working with adults and young people. I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially when trying to find the right therapist. You might be struggling with anxiety, low mood, loss of a loved one, or feeling burnt out. You might be burdened by traumatic memories, or you’re struggling with body image, or identity. You may want to improve your self-esteem, relationships, or make changes to unhelpful behaviours. If you’re ready to begin this journey and are looking for professional therapy, I am here to help.
I offer both short- and long-term Counselling and psychotherapy with a range of therapeutic interventions which best suit your needs. some of these include creative arts, mindfulness, and spirituality. At the heart of therapy will be our relationship, offering a trusting and warm space to understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and how these relate to your ‘here and now’ problems.
My wealth of experience and training over the years has enabled me to specialise in working with a range of life challenges including, complex trauma, ADHD, Autism, sexual abuse, race, culture, body image, low self-esteem, identity, and relationships, though, this is not an exhaustive list.
As an experienced therapist, I provide Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, EMDR for trauma, and evidence-based approaches for depression, including Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Counselling for Depression (CfD). I have specialist training in eating disorders and offer mindfulness and creative arts therapies.
Online therapy
Online therapy can be just as nurturing and effective as in-person counselling. I offer online sessions through Zoom a platform that’s user-friendly, reliable, and easy for both client and therapist to navigate comfortably.
If you prefer, I also provide support over the phone. While this approach doesn't include visual cues, it offers a slightly different dynamic often more fluid and interactive yet still deeply supportive.
No matter which format feels right for you online or phone, the frequency and duration of our sessions will remain the same as traditional face-to-face counselling, ensuring consistency and continuity in your support journey.

Fees
Deciding to begin therapy is a deeply personal step, and it’s completely natural for it to take time and thoughtful consideration.
To support you in exploring whether counselling with me feels like the right fit, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. It’s a gentle way for us to connect and for you to ask any questions you might have and to get a sense of one another to see if we are the right fit.
Each 50 minute session, including the initial assessment, is £60. However, I do offer a number of concessionary rates based on individual circumstances and available times, please feel free to ask about this if needed.
Sessions are held weekly, ( I also offer fortnightly slots based on availability, please ask) on the same day and at the same time, offering a steady and consistent space for your therapeutic journey. There’s no pressure around the length of therapy, we’ll talk about what feels right for you in our first meeting.
This might mean working together for a set number of sessions or leaving things open-ended, depending on your needs and preferences.
