Katie | Psychotherapist

Psychotherapy London

Life can feel relentless and full of pressure, expectation, and noise. Many people come to therapy feeling anxious, disconnected, or unsure who they are beneath it all. Here you can find a calm, reflective space to slow down, explore what feels difficult, and begin to reconnect with yourself.

As an integrative psychotherapist (MA, PGDip, MBACP), I draw on psychodynamicperson-centred, and creative approaches. This means we’ll work together to understand both your inner world and the experiences that shape it at a pace that feels right for you.

My practice is inclusive, anti-oppressive, and affirming. I work with people navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, identity, and belonging, as well as those exploring relationships, body image, sexuality, or self-worth.

Therapy with me is collaborative, not prescriptive. You set the pace, and I offer a space of warmth, curiosity, and care. Over time, our work can help you feel more grounded, self-aware, and connected, living with a greater sense of ease, purpose, and authenticity.

Sessions are available online on Mondays and Fridaysin Chancery Lane on Wednesdays, and in Barkingside on Fridays. A free 15-minute consultation is available to see if we’re the right fit to work together.

If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message via the send a message - button.

Online therapy

Online sessions offer the same level of reflection, confidentiality, and care as in-person therapy, but with the ease of meeting from your own space. I provide sessions via Zoom, a secure and encrypted video platform that allows us to see and hear each other in real time. All you need is a private, comfortable space and a reliable internet connection. Many clients find online therapy more flexible and accessible, helping them fit sessions naturally into their routine while still feeling fully supported and connected.

Specialisations and Expertises

Specialisation

My work is integrative and relational, drawing on psychodynamic, person-centred, and creative approaches. I specialise in supporting clients with anxiety and stressidentity and belongingrelationships and intimacybody image and self-worthburnouttraumagrief and lossgender, sex and relationship diversity (GSRD)creative and embodied exploration, and chronic illness and the mind–body connection.

Therapy with me is open-ended and ongoing, offering the space to work at depth and at your own pace. We can decide together what number of sessions feels right for you - whether that’s a few months focused on a particular concern or a longer-term process of reflection and growth.

The work unfolds through curiosity, empathy, and collaboration, supporting greater awareness, compassion, and connection with yourself and others.

Most common issues I support people with:

1. Anxiety and Stress

I help clients understand the roots of anxiety and chronic stress, exploring how expectations, self-criticism, and pace of life affect emotional wellbeing. Therapy offers tools for calm, grounding, and self-compassion.

2. Identity and Belonging
Many people come to explore questions of who they are - within family, culture, work, or community. Together, we explore authenticity, belonging, and the impact of external expectations on self-expression.

3. Relationships and Intimacy
I support clients navigating patterns in connection, communication, and trust. Therapy helps illuminate old dynamics and encourages more balanced, fulfilling relationships with others - and with oneself.

4. Body Image and Self-Worth
Our relationship with the body often mirrors our relationship with self. I work creatively and compassionately with body image, self-esteem, shame, and embodiment to build acceptance and respect for the self as a whole.

5. Life Transitions and Change
Periods of change -  in work, relationships, identity, or loss -  can feel unsettling. Therapy provides a steady space to process uncertainty, grief, and transformation, helping you find clarity and meaning as life evolves.
