Michael | Psychotherapist
Psychotherapy and Counselling Bloomsbury - London
I often work with people who appear fine on the outside, yet internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or alone with what they are carrying.
Perhaps you find yourself replaying conversations, doubting yourself afterwards, holding things in because you are unsure how much to trust others, or even yourself. Or perhaps you feel disconnected from your feelings, exhausted by trying to keep everything together, or find that life and relationships affect you very deeply.
Therapy
In therapy, we will take time to understand not only what feels difficult now, but how your past experiences may still be shaping the way you feel, relate to others, and respond to yourself.
As this understanding develops, you may find yourself becoming less hard on yourself, more able to trust your reactions, and less caught in ways of living that no longer feel helpful. Experiences that once felt confusing can begin to make more sense. Relationships can feel less effortful and emotions less overwhelming. It may become easier to recognise what you feel, speak more openly about what you need, and feel less emotionally pulled by the expectations of others.
My background in the arts means I’m comfortable working with complexity, sensitivity, and emotional intensity, without needing to simplify your experience or move too quickly towards solutions.
You do not need to arrive with the right words or a neatly explained story. We can begin wherever you are and work at a pace that feels manageable.
Deeper understanding can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
Reaching out
I know that beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, particularly if you are used to coping alone. I offer a free 20 to 30 minute initial consultation, giving you the chance to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
I work with adults in London and online, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, relationship and attachment difficulties, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, grief and loss, ADHD-related challenges, and BPD/EUPD.

I have a great deal of experience working with clients online and I use Google Meet for our sessions.Qualifications and registrations
