Michael | Psychotherapist
Psychotherapy and Counselling Bloomsbury - London
Sometimes life feels like a constant effort to hold everything together. You may seem calm and capable, but inside feel tense, anxious, or on edge. Perhaps you’ve learned to cope by keeping busy or supporting everyone else, yet deep down you feel disconnected, exhausted, or unsure how to stop. These can be signs of anxiety, unresolved trauma, or long-held emotional pain that’s become hard to manage alone.
I became a therapist after a long career in the arts, where I developed a deep understanding of the inner worlds people hide — the unspoken feelings, self-doubt, and quiet endurance that often go unseen. That experience helps me bring warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care to the work we do together. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in sensitivity, offering a steady, supportive space to explore what feels confusing or too heavy to carry by yourself.
Our sessions are collaborative and shaped around your needs. We might gently connect present struggles with earlier experiences, or find practical ways to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship difficulties. However we begin, the focus will be on helping you feel safer within yourself, more connected, and more able to move through life with clarity and confidence.
I’ll listen with care and understanding, helping you to make sense of your experiences and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have had to stay hidden. Over time, therapy can support greater self-esteem, emotional steadiness, and lasting change that feels authentic to who you are.
I offer a free initial consultation so you can ask questions and get a sense of how I work. I see clients in London and online, and I specialise in working with anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, loss, and emotional overwhelm.
Online therapy
I have a lot of experience working with clients online and I use Google Meet for our sessions. Although in different places, we will have a warm, trusting environment where our sessions together can be calm and inclusive. We will have a quiet space where you can have time to be you and where our connection and understanding will be strong.Qualifications and registrations
