Josie | Integration Psychotherapist/ Yoga Therapist
Introduction
My approach to psychotherapy includes mind, body, heart, and spirit – healing happens when we bring all parts of ourselves into awareness with compassion and curiosity. I draw on over two decades of experience working in mental health, alongside my training as an Integration Psychotherapist and Yoga Therapist. This means our sessions include traditional talking therapy, along side exploring the role of your body, mind, heart and soul. I work relationally, meaning our connection / relationship is at the heart of the process
I bring together everything I’ve learned to offer a rich, holistic, and compassionate approach to psychotherapy. My work is grounded, heart-led, and always tailored to you as a whole person.
I spent over two decades working in the NHS, supporting people using therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, BSF.
Over the years, I learned that while these methods are powerful, true healing often comes when we also include the body, mind, heart and spirit.
In my thirties, my own life took several unexpected turns, including a health diagnosis, divorce, bereavement, and the experience of childlessness. These challenges ultimately led me to psychotherapy and yoga, where I discovered personal healing and transformation. That journey inspired me to retrain — first as a yoga teacher, then a yoga therapist, and finally a psychotherapist.
I now live by the beautiful Devon coast with my apricot (ginger!) cockapoo, Dotty. You’ll often find us walking the cliffs, swimming in the sea, or exploring new paths through the countryside.
If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation.
Online therapy
I work on Zoom - sessions are 50 mins long. Finding a quiet space free of inturruptions is important.
Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about gently uncovering what’s already within you, rediscovering your inner resources, and finding new ways to live with more ease, meaning, and connection. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, lost, exhausted – we’ll work together to with kindness, curiosity, and even some humour along the way.
Clients say that therapy they begin to feel more alive, grounded, and resilient. They learn to be with difficult emotions, trust gut instincts, lean into their inner knowing, and discover new ways of navigating life’s challenges.
