Psychotherapy Leigh on Sea

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, managing the emotional rollercoaster of ADHD, recovering from trauma, or burning out from constantly holding it all together — therapy can help you slow down, untangle the noise, and find your way back to solid ground.

I help people break free from anxiety, stress, depression, and trauma — including PTSD. I also work closely with neurodivergent clients, especially those with ADHD, and support families navigating the challenges that come with it. Whether you’re seeking clarity, calm, or just space to breathe — you’re not alone in this.

Maybe you’re constantly overthinking, trying to juggle too much, or second-guessing yourself even when you succeed. Maybe past trauma is still shaping your present, and you’re tired of pretending you’ve “moved on.” Or maybe your mind moves at 100 miles per hour thanks to ADHD, and managing daily life feels like swimming upstream.

I offer a warm, honest, and flexible space where you can finally stop masking, over-performing, or holding it all in. We work at your pace—whether you need a safe space to unpack years of trauma, tools for managing ADHD and executive function, or just a chance to breathe and figure out what you actually need.

For the Neurodivergent Mind

If you’re living with ADHD (diagnosed or not), you’re likely dealing with more than distraction. Emotional intensity, rejection sensitivity, procrastination, burnout, perfectionism—these are real and exhausting. Therapy can help you stop blaming yourself and start building systems, self-trust, and compassion that actually work for your brain.

For Trauma Survivors

If trauma is part of your story, you may feel “stuck” in ways that don’t always make logical sense. That’s not weakness—it’s your nervous system doing its best to protect you. In our work together, we’ll create a safe, grounded space to gently process what’s happened and reconnect with a sense of agency, calm, and self-worth. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a highly effective, evidence-based approach that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer feel triggering or overwhelming. Many clients describe it as truly life-changing.

Online therapy

Online therapy in my practice is designed to be accessible, secure, and convenient.

Sessions are conducted via Zoom (or another preferred video call), offering a reliable and user-friendly platform that allows you to connect from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Once an appointment is confirmed, you’ll receive a secure Zoom link ahead of each session. All you need is a stable internet connection and a quiet, confidential setting.

Online therapy offers the same depth of support and connection as in-person work, while removing the barriers of travel and scheduling constraints.

With a specialisation in anxiety, ADHD, stress, burnout, worry, trauma (including PTSD), depression, anger management, OCD, etc. my therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based methods (including EMDR) tailored to each individual’s needs.

Other Areas of Specialisation

1.     Autism (ASD)
I support neurodivergent individuals navigating the challenges of a world not always built with them in mind. This may include managing overwhelm, social or sensory difficulties, burnout, or masking. I work with compassion and acceptance to support self-understanding and emotional well-being.

2.     Toxic Relationships & Emotional Abuse
Whether you’re in or recovering from a harmful relationship, I support you in recognising unhealthy dynamics, setting boundaries, and reclaiming your sense of self.

3.     Sexual Abuse Recovery
Healing from sexual abuse takes time and care. I offer a trauma-informed, respectful space to process your experience and begin restoring trust, safety, and personal agency.

I have extensive experience supporting clients navigating overwhelming thoughts, emotional dysregulation, intrusive patterns, and the effects of long-term stress or trauma.

While each person's journey is unique, many clients begin to notice meaningful shifts within 6 to 12 sessions, though more complex or deep-rooted issues may benefit from longer-term work. My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to make lasting changes.

Most common issues I support people with:

Top 5 Issues I Support People With

  1. Anxiety & Stress
Persistent worry, overthinking, panic, or a sense of being constantly on edge can deeply impact daily life. I help clients understand the roots of their anxiety and build tools to manage stress, reduce overwhelm, and restore calm and clarity.

  2. ADHD
Whether diagnosed or self-identified, ADHD can affect focus, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and relationships. I support both adults and young people in developing practical strategies, while also addressing the emotional toll of feeling “too much” or “not enough.”

  3. Depression, Anger & Mood Swings
Low mood, emotional numbness, irritability, or sudden mood changes can feel confusing and isolating. These experiences are often linked to unresolved emotions, stress, or past trauma. I work with clients to explore what’s underneath, helping them develop emotional awareness, self-regulation tools, and a more stable, connected sense of self.

  4. Trauma
Trauma isn’t just about what happened—it’s also about how it lives on in the body and mind. Using approaches like EMDR, I help clients gently process traumatic experiences and rebuild a sense of safety, trust, and internal strength.

  5. Low Self-Esteem & Confidence Issues

Feeling not good enough, self-critical, or held back by fear can affect all areas of life. Therapy can help you rebuild self-worth and reconnect with your strengths.

My standard fee is £60 per 50-minute session.

I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee slots for students, those on low income, or individuals facing financial hardship—please feel free to enquire about availability.
