Lizi | Integrative Psychotherapist
Integrative Psychotherapy Derby
Hi, I’m Lizi, I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor in Derby, offering a tailored approach that respects your unique experiences, history, and aspirations. I explore how past experiences influence the present, using a compassionate, evidence-based approach to foster understanding, self-compassion, and change. My promise is to provide a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe, be vulnerable and work at your own pace.
There is a myriad of reasons that have prompted you to take the first, courageous step of researching the right therapist for you.
You may be hurting; let down or disappointed by the relationships in your life, either romantic or familial? Struggling with bereavement, loss, infidelity or consensual non-monogamy.
Or perhaps you are feeling hindered; a sense of stuckness’, overwhelm or anxiety. Struggling to progress, held back by your limiting self-beliefs.
Or hassled; that everything is too much, wrestling with stress and depression or overcome with a new or awaiting an ADHD diagnosis.
Or harmed; have you been harmed by another, either psychologically or physically or are your behaviours causing you unease or suffering?
If any of this sounds relatable, then perhaps therapy might help.

Specialisations and Expertises
My special interests are working with individuals and couples on interpersonal challenges. This might be affairs, divorce, family conflict or estrangement. Whilst also working extensively with non monagamy couples, including; polyamory and open relationships.
If you are looking for support for a specific issue or problem I am more than happy to work on a short-term basis, usually a minimum of 6 sessions. However, I usually work open ended with clients. This sees us meet for weekly or fortnightly sessions, with regular reviews to ensure that your therapeutic goals are being met.
Most common issues I support people with:
Romantic Relationships - complexities with break ups, infidelity and stuckness’ within long term connections. Plus alternative attitudes to relationships, including consensual non-monogamy and open marriages.
Interpersonal Relationships - familial and friendship dynamics, attachment challenges, control, estrangement and loss.
Bereavement and grief - loss of a loved one, holding space for all the feelings; the anger, the pain, the missing and the need for memory sharing.
Anxiety and depression - a non-judgemental, open and authentic opportunity to share all the emotions, the challenges and the consequences in everyday life.
ADHD - recently diagnosed, navigating the new you, with better understanding and compassion. Learning how to show up for yourself unapologetically.

Fees
My individual session fee is £60. For couples the fee is £100.
I am able to offer discounts for OAPs and students in psychotherapy & counselling training.
Additionally I offer an initial 15-minute phone call (free of charge). When you make contact, we can chat briefly about what brings you into therapy and whether this is something I might be able to help you with.
I mainly work from a warm, confidential space in Derby (DE1). There is free, off street parking, toilets and disabled access.
Additionally, I am able to offer online and telephone sessions.
Our first session is an initial assessment, this enables me to find out a little more about your history, your life today and your wishes for therapy. This will enable us to determine whether we are the right therapeutic fit for each other. For you to decide whether it feels comfortable to work with me and for me to ascertain whether I am the right therapist for you.
We will then agree a session time and day, weekly or fortnightly and this will be your time thereafter.
