Hey I'm Demi

Life can feel so overwhelming, feeling like walking on a tightrope, wobbling with anxiety? Does low self-esteem and low self-confidence stop you from reaching out and grabbing the opportunities you crave?  The trust we have in ourselves can influence where we go next.

I know because I have been a client.

I help people just like you through developing better self-esteem, in person and online to reconnect with yourself and feel confident again. Through building your confidence in therapy, navigating your low self esteem, anxiety and stress you feel, we'll work together so you can:

  • Finally put yourself on your own priority list
  • Make choices from confidence, not fear
  • Overcome anxiety that's been calling the shots
  • Build lasting self-worth and trust in yourself
  • Stop people-pleasing and start honoring your needs

I'm passionate about helping you feel comfortable with who you are and confident in your place in the world.
We'll work on you becoming your own advocate - making choices that actually feel right for you, rather than what everyone else expects. Real conversations about real life, in a space where you can be completely yourself while we tackle self-esteem, confidence, and relationship challenges.

Online therapy

I'm not your "typical therapist." - you might have already sensed that  I'm a person first and a therapist second.

My goal is to connect with you as a person, to have conversations about the stuff you haven’t yet felt comfortable enough to share because of trying to protect the feelings of those you love, and situations that are personal to you

There might be times when a well-placed swear words is the only way to express your feelings, and that's okay.  Oh and quite possibly a few typos. Im probably like this because I remember thinking ‘ I hope we click and they get me’ when finding a therapist myself.

This call will give us a chance to have a chat, to see if we are the right fit and if my approach - the fancy name for it is integrative therapy is right for you and your needs.

 

Therapy is not just a place to express your feelings, but also a place to be heard, understood, and validated. I truly believe in the power of listening, helping people to hear themselves, and supporting them in taking action that aligns with their goals.

When working online sessions are carried out on a platform called Zoom or Vsee. This means we can see each other but be in different places (It's a little like face-time)

Qualifications and registrations

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I am an Accredited Member the National Counselling  Psychotherapy Society . This offers me a framework and helps me to ensure I am working to ethically. It's reassuring to clients I work with.   I am also a member of the Association of Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO) this means I can work safely and confidently online.

  • BSc (Hons) Counselling Psychology Degree
  • Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Children and Young People (Level 7)
  • Edexcel Therapeutic Diploma (Level 5)
  • NCFE Counselling Skills and Theory (Level 3)
  • NCFE Counselling Skills Training qualifications and experience and Theory (Level 2)

I work with all sorts of struggles If it matters to you, there's room for it in therapy.
