Raimonda | Integrative Counsellor
Integrative Counselling Plymouth
As an integrative and LGBTQ+ affirming counsellor, I offer a warm, non-judgemental space for anyone looking to explore their thoughts and feelings. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, or navigating life transitions, I’m here to support you.
I understand how challenging it can be to recognise what you really need, especially if you've been pushing those needs aside or trying to meet the expectations of others. Anxiety can leave you feeling disconnected, unsure of yourself, or overwhelmed by everything you’re trying to hold together. You might be longing for something different and not quite sure where to begin.
I have experience supporting people through relationship issues, life transitions, and challenges of navigating the unexpected. Whether you’re dealing with loss, major life changes, or anxiety that comes with uncertainty, I’m here to help you. I also provide a safe and affirming space for trans and gender-diverse people, where they can feel understood and supported.
In our sessions, we’ll focus on what you're experiencing and work together to find a way forward that feels right for you. I’m here to help you build self-awareness and acceptance, so you can move towards a life that feels true to who you are.
Taking the first step can feel daunting, but if you’d like to explore how we might work together, please get in touch via the send a message - button for a free introductory call.

Specialisations and Expertises
I’m a fully qualified, BACP-registered integrative counsellor with a strong interest in working with anxiety, relationships, identity, and the impact of life’s challenges. My approach is rooted in the person-centred tradition, which means I focus on creating a warm, respectful, and collaborative space where you feel truly heard—often in ways that might be new or unfamiliar. From this foundation, I draw on elements of humanistic and existential therapy, depending on what feels most useful for you. Most Commonly Treated Issues
While each person brings their own unique experiences, the issues I most often support people with include:
-
Anxiety, low mood and feeling overwhelmed
Whether it’s a constant sense of unease, panic, or simply feeling stuck or exhausted, we work together to explore what’s going on beneath the surface and find ways to move forward with greater clarity and self-compassion.
-
Developing self-understanding and self-acceptance
Many clients come to therapy because they feel disconnected from themselves or unsure of who they are. I help people slow down and begin to reconnect with their inner experience, often developing more kindness and acceptance toward themselves.
-
Relationship and family dynamics
I work with individuals—both within and outside the LGBTQ+ community, who are trying to make sense of challenges in their relationships, including difficulties with communication, boundary-setting, or feeling misunderstood by those close to them.
-
Grief, loss, and life-changing diagnoses
I offer a compassionate space to explore loss in its many forms—bereavement, estrangement, or changes in health. This might involve adjusting to a new reality, processing difficult feelings, or simply being with what’s happened.
-
Building confidence and making aligned choices
Therapy can be a place to explore what you want and need, and how to begin making decisions that reflect who you really are. This often includes developing clearer boundaries and finding your voice in situations that previously felt challenging.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
This depends on what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain. Some people come for just a few sessions to explore a specific issue, while others benefit from longer-term work that allows for deeper exploration and change. You’re not locked into anything—therapy moves at your pace, and we can review regularly to see how it’s going and whether it continues to feel helpful.
Most common issues I support people with:
-
Understanding Yourself and Building Self-Acceptance
I support people in developing a deeper understanding of themselves, reconnecting with their inner experiences, and beginning to accept who they are—often for the first time.
-
Anxiety and Low Mood
Many people I work with experience anxiety, low mood, or a sense of being stuck. Together, we explore what's going on beneath the surface, so you can find ways to manage these feelings with more compassion and clarity.
-
Navigating Relationships and Family Dynamics
I help individuals make sense of challenges in relationships—whether with partners, family, or friends. This might involve setting boundaries, expressing needs more clearly, or recognising unhelpful patterns. I work with people within LGBTQ+ community who are navigating the unique pressures that can come with identity and relationships.
-
Grief, Loss and Life-Changing Diagnoses
I offer space to process grief and loss, whether through bereavement, illness, or other life transitions. This can include living with a difficult diagnosis or supporting someone else through one.
-
Confidence, Boundaries and Making Choices That Fit You
I support people in building confidence, setting boundaries, and making decisions that are more aligned with who they are—rather than who they think they should be.
