Counselling Highworth

Whether you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, depression, facing professional or personal challenges or simply need a space to reflect and talk, I am here to help. You don’t have to carry the weight alone.

If you're worn out from pretending everything’s fine, I’m here to listen. Together we can work on understanding and managing your emotions as well as exploring the causes of what you're feeling, allowing you to develop ways to move forward with clarity and purpose, to feel more in control.

To others things look fine, but deep down you're dealing with irritability, frustration and a sense that something is missing. The pressure to keep on pretending everything is OK, the growing weight of unspoken feelings can be suffocating.

I specialise in helping men navigate emotional challenges that often go unspoken. If you're experiencing:

  • Irritability or frustration in relationships – You find yourself snapping at your partner or withdrawing, but you’re not sure why.
  • Overwhelm and indecision – Facing the day or tasks ahead feels daunting and you can’t seem to find the motivation to move forward.
  • Restless sleep and constant mental fatigue – Thoughts at 2am that won't go away, leaving you restless and each morning feels like a struggle.
  • Unhealthy habits creeping in – Overeating, drinking or other coping strategies give temporary relief but leave you feeling stuck in a cycle.
  • Difficulty expressing emotions – Opening up feels challenging and it’s hard to know how to even begin to talk about your feelings.
  • Can't stop thinking about the past or worrying about the future - Intrusive thoughts and worries make it hard to live in the present.

You can move beyond the constant cycle of struggling through daily stresses and create lasting change that allows you to feel fulfilled again.

Specialisations and Expertises

I specialise in working with men who may be struggling with stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties or a sense of dissatisfaction with life. Many of the men I work with describe feeling stuck, carrying pressures silently or wondering why they don’t feel OK even when they’ve done everything “right.”

I offer a respectful, confidential space where you can talk openly and honestly. My approach is straightforward and supportive, helping you make sense of what’s going on, understand patterns that may be holding you back and find realistic ways forward.

Counselling doesn’t have to be long-term, sometimes just a few sessions can bring relief, a new perspective or greater understanding of what you're feeling. For others, working over a longer period gives the chance to explore deeper challenges and build lasting change.

Most common issues I support people with:
