Counselling Wallsend

Specialist counselling for women experiencing anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem rooted in narcissistic abuse, coercive control, and high-conflict family issues. I provide a dedicated space to process trauma, manage your mental health, and rebuild your reality.

Specialist Counselling for Women Navigating Narcissistic Abuse & Coercive Control

Do you feel like you are disappearing in your own home?

I work with women navigating profound crises of identity and trust—specifically those who find their reality being systematically rewritten by a partner or family member. If you are experiencing severe anxiety, overwhelming depression, or a crushing loss of self-esteem due to a toxic relationship, you do not have to carry this heavy burden alone. Your mental health matters.

Whether you are facing the shock of a long-term marriage breaking down, a betrayal of confidence, or the exhaustion of family issues and high-conflict dynamics, I provide a grounded, confidential space to reclaim your voice. Many of my clients feel they are walking on eggshells at home, trapped in a cycle of managing someone else’s moods while their own truth is silenced or labelled as the problem.

Areas of Specialism & Support

  • Relationship Deception & Ambiguous Loss: Helping you process the trauma and depression that occurs when a partner fundamentally changes, or when you discover you have been living with a secret for years.

  • Rebuilding Reality & Low Self-Esteem: We work on establishing your sense of what is true when the ground has shifted beneath you, helping you overcome the chronic anxiety and self-doubt caused by gaslighting.

  • High-Conflict Family Issues: Support for mothers, sisters, and daughters navigating complex family dynamics and relationships where they feel pressured to stay silent to maintain a connection.

  • Coercive Control & Silencing: If you have been targeted, bullied, or pushed out of social or professional circles, I offer a safe space to process the resulting anxiety, depression, and loss of identity.

  • Identifying Coercion: My approach focuses on identifying coercive tactics, supporting your overall mental health, and rebuilding shattered self-esteem. We focus entirely on your lived experience—not a narrative imposed on you by others.

A Space for Your Unfiltered Truth

I provide a no-nonsense, supportive environment where you don't have to follow a script. Whether you are navigating a marriage in crisis, deep-seated family issues, the shame of being misunderstood, or a search for your own voice, I am here to help you manage your mental health and find your way back to yourself.

My clinical approach practices an exploratory framework. Using gentle, supportive challenging techniques, I work with you to uncover and address the root causes of your challenges rather than just managing the symptoms, helping you acquire your own internal resources so that you are better equipped to address future challenges.

I offer a free, no-obligation initial consultation so we can discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and identify the most beneficial way of working together.

Specialisations and Expertises

It is difficult to predict how many sessions you will need due to the nature of counselling. Often clients present with one issue and during the course of therapy others surface. However, you stay in control of how many sessions you would like, and what issues you want to focus on.

I recommend a review every 6 sessions to ensure that we are on track and to set new goals and priorities.

Most common issues I support people with:

  • Loss and bereavement
  • Relationships and abuse
  • Work related issues
  • Anxiety
  • Depression and low mood
  • Addiction and self-medication

Fees

Sessions with me are £60 per session
