Lorraine | Psychotherapeutic counsellor - Humanistic
Introduction
Welcome, I'm Lorraine. I'm a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor.
Grounded in the Person centred approach but more integrative now with a flexible approach to meet your needs. I believe one approach doesn't fit all.
I am deeply passionate about my work and providing you with the space to explore what is troubling you.
Why access counselling?
Often deeply personal and an individual process. I know we are unique and I can support you through difficult life events, relationship problems, upsetting or traumatic events and strong emotions like grief, guilt, sadness, confusion, anger or low self-esteem. Happy to work with bereavement but extend into lack of wellbeing or happiness, loneliness, depression, anxiety or other mental health or long term physical health problems. Important stuff
I see people from all stages of counselling but only work with Individuals. Some people have no counselling experience others are newly trained or searching for a different type of therapy or to try a new counsellor. My aim is to help you make the most out of the counselling and for you to have a positive experience. Why choose me?
I can home my listening skills and am a good communicator when it comes to reflecting back what I hear or perspective sharing. There is no judgement or criticism from me.
I bring my whole self person with curiousity and creativity to see each client as incredibly special and individual with their needs in counselling.
With an open heart and strong mindset. I have been told I have a gentle way about me.
Send me an enquiry via the send a message - button and I promise to get back to you. I am certain we can find a time that suits.
On enquiry say a little about yourself, what you are looking for in counselling, your availability and the best way I can contact you.
More information for you
Sessions are 50 minutes
Individual sessions and no couple work.
Working weekly to start with, sometimes we move to fortnightly and then occasionally monthly.
Online therapy
I also work online should you wish to book a session with me. I am happy to use Whatsapp, Doxy.me or Zoom.
People sometimes prefer accessing counselling this way rather than meeting in-person. Sessions will provide the same focus as in-person but often more intense and go straight to the heart of the matter.
I am a mature approachable counsellor working across the UK, much further afield than my Cornish base.
Please contact me and we can discuss what is needed in our work together.

Flexible fees Online & In-Person depending on current circumstances.
Some concessions available as sliding scales if the person struggles to meet the full cost.
