Walk and Talk Counselling London
I offer a welcoming space where I'll listen and together we can look at what's going on for you.
I can help you if you're feeling anxious or depressed; perhaps you're worried about work or relationships, struggling with low moods or low self-esteem. Perhaps you're affected by your present circumstances or past experiences. You might want to explore your thoughts and emotions, to learn more about yourself, and to find more self-confidence and fulfilment in your life.
Therapy sessions outdoors can be traditional counselling or psychotherapy, while walking or sitting outdoors in nature. Connection with the natural world around us - perhaps watching the ducks on a pond, breathing the fresh air - can help deepen our awareness of our sensations and feelings.
Walk and talk therapy provides the benefits of physical exercise, which can help alleviate depression and channel some of the energy of anxiety. It can create natural metaphors and open up questions for us (where are you heading? which path will you take?). Simply sitting in natural surroundings can also be a calming experience.
Taking therapy outdoors can help us connect with our experience of being human in an uncertain world, helping us find ourselves in times of confusion, pain or stress. Our senses can ground us as we feel the breeze, rain or sun, hear birds sing and leaves rustle, and see the colours of nature.
Therapy in nature is a confidential space for you to explore your own, inner nature while deepening your connection with the natural world.
I provide therapy sessions online or in-person indoors (Bloomsbury or Archway), as well as outdoors in north and central London's green spaces.
The space I provide - whether online, indoors or out in nature - is for you to explore whatever’s on your mind, so please contact me to discuss possibilities.
Online therapy
I offer online sessions during daytime at a reduced rate of £50 per session.Online sessions are effective if you have a busy schedule and feel you could benefit from a quiet time for therapy without the need to travel; it might also work well for you if you're unable to access in-person therapy and have a quiet space for yourself during the day. All sessions are confidential and I use an end-to-end encrypted service (Google Meet) to ensure privacy for my clients.
I'm experienced in online counselling and trained with an online proficiency certificate (BACP/Open University).
