I’m an experienced Mental Health Practitioner and EMDR Therapist for NHS Talking Therapies, and also offer private sessions. I have worked in Health and Social Care for over 30 years providing a wide range of social, emotional and psychological interventions.
EMDR is a specialised therapy that can effectively enable recovery from emotional problems, anxiety, depression and trauma. I also use the Flash Technique, which is a gentle approach that can rapidly reduce distress without having to talk through painful experiences

We all go through times in our lives where we struggle to cope and things just feel overwhelming. We can’t always talk to family and friends so speaking out and opening up to a counsellor can help you feel listened to. Counselling gives you a safe space, allowing you to talk freely without fear of judgment. A counsellor can help you see things clearer and help you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

I specialise in anxiety, grief, self esteem and work related issues. I also offer the Rewind Technique which is hugely effective in reducing the impact of traumatic experiences. My style is relaxed, compassionate and directional (rather than directive or passive). I have achieved accreditation with the BACP which underpins my professionalism. I work with individuals age 16 and over.
