Suzanne Walsh | Person-Centred Counselling
✓ I also offer online therapy
Leave a message and I will contact you as soon as possible.
My name is Suzanne, and currently all my session are being offered via Facetime, Zoom or Skype to both individuals and couples.
I can offer you a confidential place where you can come to think and talk about yourself and your concerns, in a way that is different from talking with a loved one or friend. A place, where you are free to work through any issues or difficulties, such as anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, illness, or addiction to name a few.
I will listen to the way you feel and how this affects you. I will accept the way you are without judging and I will work with you to enable you to make the changes that you want to happen.
I am also a qualified supervisor and offer supervison to individuals and groups.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and on the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
I have run a successful Private Practice from my home for more than 15 years and have many years experience of working as Counsellor and Clinical Lead in a Substance Misuse Agency and a G.P’s surgery and hospital in West London.
My philosophy is based upon that of Carl Rogers, pioneer of the Person-Centred Approach. I share his belief in the actualising tendency, the innate capacity of every individual to grow and develop.
I feel my life’s experiences have equipped me with an empathic understanding, which I aim to bring to my counselling work.
I have just relocated to the Cheshire East area and I welcome clients from all over the Crewe, Nantwich, Alsager, Sandbach areas.
Please feel free to contact me to book an appointment or ask any questions. Thank you, Suzanne.
Currently, all my sessions are being offered online via FaceTime, Zoom or Skype. This is your choice and I find it works well if you, the client, calls me at the agreed time.
During your first session you will be able to express the reasons for coming to counselling and look at what you would like to achieve.
Understanding it is not always easy to talk about problems & to express your feelings, I aim to bring warmth & empathy enabling you to share those things that bother you.
I will offer the first half hour of the first session free for you to see how this works.

Corona Virus Pandemic
The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak means life has changed for us all. It may cause you to feel anxious, stressed, worried, sad, bored, lonely or frustrated.
It's important to remember it is OK to feel this way and that everyone reacts differently – for most of us, these difficult feelings will pass.
I can offer you space to explore these feelings which may enable you to become more comfortable.

Drug and alcohol counselling
I have several years experience providing drug and alcohol counselling, treatment, and support services for substance misusers and anyone affected by someone else's use of drugs and alcohol.
When a person is addicted to something they cannot control how they use it, and become dependent on it to cope with daily life and mask the pain of life's past traumas.
I have the ability to offer you through counselling the possibility of minimising the harm from your drug of choice and then to equip with skills to prevent relapse.
Cancer and any other life threatening illness
I have worked as a counsellor supporting clients who may have just received a diagnosis of Cancer, or any other life threatening illness, either for themselves or for a loved one, through all the stages of treatment that this will bring with it.
My experience gained in a day hospice in Hertfordshire and at Mount Vernon hospital enable me to offer a peaceful space where you are free to talk about your anxieties, exploring options around treatments or end of life care and how loved ones will be affected so that you are able to make sense of what is happening.
It is of paramount importance that this relationship offers a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment so you will feel able to take a proactive role as early as possible. By feeling in control of your situation, it will be easier to make informed decisions and find the way forward that is right for you.
