Counselling Norwich
You may be looking at this page because you are experiencing anxiety or depression; maybe you have had a recent loss or other trauma, or a significant life change; perhaps the effects of the pandemic are taking their toll, or you’ve decided the time is right to look more closely at some past event, or some aspect of your life, your behaviours, your relationships, that don’t feel as satisfactory as you’d like them to.
Perhaps something big is looming and you’re feeling unsure about what decision to take or how you will cope. Perhaps you are feeling sad, or you just feel “uuughhhh!” and don’t want to feel like that anymore. Whatever is troubling you, talking to the right person can help.
A safe and non-judgmental space
I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor. This means I draw on a variety of counselling approaches in how I work, and precisely what this looks like will depend on the relationship we build. Whatever you say to me is received without judgment and held in confidence.
I will aim, together with you, to create a safe and open space where you can, when you are ready, and in your own time, lay out your troubles and your joys so you can see them more clearly. I believe the first step towards change is awareness, and then acceptance - when we use a map, we have to know and accept where we are before we can find the route to our destination.
Whatever your reason for being here reading this, one thing is certain - you are taking the courageous step to reach out for someone to help you through a hard time. I offer you my warmth, and my willingness to listen without judgment.
If you would like to know more, please send me a message or book an appointment.

Statement concerning the coronavirus pandemic
When legally permitted, and where we both feel comfortable to do so, we can choose to work face to face. This is the most effective way to deliver counselling. However, online sessions are also an effective way to conduct counselling.
I work from a room large enough to maintain social distancing. The room is ventilated between clients, and hard surfaces that you may touch, such as door handles, cleaned.
If either of us tests positive for Covid-19, or experiences any cold or flu-like symptoms, the session can be held online if required.
