I understand that making the decision to come for counselling can be a big step and finding the right counsellor for you is important. I offer a safe and reflective space for you to explore your experiences and we will work together to make sense of them.
I use an integrative approach which basically means that I draw from a range of psychological therapies as everyone has different experiences and needs. At the heart of this is a person-centred foundation.
Person-centred counselling offers you the time and space to explore your experiences and emotions in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment. I will not tell you what to do, rather I will walk alongside you to help you better understand yourself and work towards what you need.
I am a compassionate and BACP registered counsellor. After completing my counselling training, I have worked primarily with young people aged 11-25 in schools and universities but also in a GP surgery with adults.
Some of the areas in which I have experience in include: life transitions, self-esteem, identity issues, stress, anxiety and depression, body image issues, relationship issues and anger management.
I hold the belief that each individual knows themselves better than anyone else and can make real changes towards a positive and happier life when provided with the right conditions.
Next to my practice location in Cotham Hill, I also welcome clients to my room in Clifton Village.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Private Practice (CAPPP).
I abide by a strict code of confidentiality, I undertake regular ongoing training and I receive regular supervision.
