Sometimes in our lives we can feel worried, anxious, angry, depressed or disconnected from others. We might have lost motivation and struggle to get through the day. We may know the reasons behind this, or we may not, which can leave us feeling confused and possibly like we are not in control.

My name is Lesley and I am an integrative counsellor, which means I use a variety of different therapeutic models designed to help every individual client's issues. But more importantly for my clients, I will see you, listen to you and value you in the work we do together to find some answers to life's challenges. I work face-to-face in North Yorkshire and Perthshire but I also offer online therapy sessions across the United Kingdom and I am insured to work with clients in certain countries abroad.

I am an integrative counsellor specialising in supporting young women with anxiety. I use a person-centred approach meaning we work at your pace, bringing in techniques such as CBT and Transactional Analysis to help you manage your thoughts and look at your relationships. I aim to create a warm space to explore what is going on for you.
I have an open, gentle and sincere approach and encourage you to work at your own pace. My own personal experiences contribute to my passion for counselling. I understand that sometimes life can seem like fighting a losing battle, but by talking things through I can help you to overcome this.
I have a wealth of experience working with clients across a broad range of issues over several years. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and on all journeys in life.

Emma's therapeutic approach is tailored to meet your individual needs. While your past is part of who you are, it shouldn’t dictate your present. Emma aims to listen deeply to really understand and validate your story and how it has personally affected you. She will then offer you the opportunity to challenge and explore any beliefs that might not be serving you well in the present. Sometimes everything feels overwhelming. Therapy with Emma can provide you with a shelter from the storm.

I understand how difficult and overwhelming it can feel to experience low moods, anxiety, or a sense of not being yourself. It can also be incredibly challenging to navigate tough times without the right support. I am passionate about supporting and understanding people, and helping them understand themselves. I work with both adults and children, and tailor my work to each persons individual needs.
