Emily | Counselling Psychologist
Counselling Psychologist Bagshot - Surrey
There are times when life can feel extremely challenging and overwhelming. Whilst we learn ways to cope, we can also struggle to move on positively in our lives and in our relationships. I offer evidence-based psychological therapy tailored to your unique needs and goals. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in a belief that meaningful change is possible—whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking greater self-understanding.
I have extensive experience working in NHS mental health services and private practice supporting people with a range of difficulties including, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement, trauma and work-related stress.
Before training as a psychologist I spent over 15 years working in the media which gave me insight into the pressures of fast-paced, high-performance cultures. I bring to my work a deep understanding of the emotional toll that demanding careers and complex life experiences can take.
I offer short or longer-term therapy, currently face to face (Bagshot) or online. As a counselling psychologist I am not tied to one model of therapy and draw from humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approaches to best support each person and their experience. I work with individuals and couples.
