Claire | Relational Therapist
Introduction
--- Online only therapy ---
People often reach out to therapy when they are ready for change. Some people do not even know what these changes are, or could be. Your journey with therapy is very personal and you might be surprised to find a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthening the person you already are.
Whatever your thoughts are right now, I imagine you are hoping for something to be different in your life. Or perhaps you simply need a space to be heard and listened to.
I am an experienced integrative therapist, specialising in relational therapy. I work extensively with issues relating to attachment, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, chronic pain, and menopause.
As a relational therapist, I can support you to explore and understand the things that impact your life, increasing stress, emotional discomfort, relationship problems, and potential health issues. How different could your life feel if you explore and process emotional difficulties? How different might your life feel if you develop new skills to support yourself?
I particularly value the relationship with our 'self', it is often neglected, sometimes not even recognised. Therapy can learn you so much about yourself, why you made that choice, why you were friends with certain people, why your stress levels are high most of the time and feel like you cannot manage everyday life effectively.
Change begins with you. Small changes can grow bigger. if you feel that you could benefit from therapy with myself, please contact me and we can talk further.
Online therapy
I work online only. Most people prefer this method because it offers more flexibility. I use Zoom for online sessions, however, I am open to using Whatsapp if this is a preference, once we have made initial contact, completed an assessment, and talked about your expections of therapy and how I can support you with this.Qualifications and registrations

Specialisations and Expertises
Sessions can be managed to reflect your personal circumstances. Therapy can range from 6-8 sessions to open-ended which means there is not an agreed fixed number of sessions, allowing us to work more extensively.I work mostly with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and attachment issues. However, there are many issues relating to each other, sometimes without an obvious connection. Witht this in mind, I work with an integrative approach which means I will use a range of knowledge and skills from different theories to find the best way of working with you.
I also work with issues relating to chronic illness, such as auto-immune disorders like arthritis and fibromyalgia. Living with chronic pain often impacts relationships with our friends and family, as people try to manage the debilitating symptoms they experience. Chronic illness and pain have significant links to stress, depression, and trauma.
Additionally, I work with issues relating to menopause. Menopause can be a difficult experience for women, as they learn to navigate a different version of themselves while continuing to manage everyday tasks, responsibilities, and relationships.
