Online Youth Counselling

Navigating the complexities of adolescence can be overwhelming, but your teen doesn’t have to face it alone. I am here to empower your teen on their path to emotional well-being through online counselling sessions. Whether they’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, self-esteem issues, relationships, or simply need someone to talk to, I'm here to listen and help.

I offer thoughtful and engaging online counselling sessions for 10-18 year olds. My background is in teaching and psychology research and I have 10+ years' experience working with young people in private practice and schools. I offer an integrative and evidence-based approach.

Being in-person with an adult therapist can be an anxiety-provoking experience for many young people. Research demonstrates that online therapy is as effective as in-person and young people even report preferring it!

What I offer:

- Expertise in Adolescent Development: With a background in psychology research and more than 10 years’ experience supporting young people, I have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by teenagers today and am dedicated to providing evidence-based support that addresses their emotional, social, and psychological needs.

- Safe and Confidential: Adolescents need a place where they can express themselves freely without fear of judgement. These counselling sessions offer just that - a space where thoughts and feelings are respected and validated. Sessions are online in the familiar setting of their own home for your teen’s comfort and convenience.

- Customised Strategies: No two teenagers are the same and our counselling sessions reflect this. Integrating tools to meet your teen’s individual needs, we work collaboratively to create personalised strategies that empower your adolescent to build coping skills, manage stress, and navigate relationships effectively.

- Collaborative Approach: I believe that your involvement as a parent is crucial to your teen's growth. Through regular updates and advice, we'll work together to create a positive and supportive environment at home.

Specialisations

I specialise in working with adolescents who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues and who are open to online sessions. I offer an integrative approach using psychodynamic and humanistic therapy models and any other tools I feel might be useful for your teen's specific issues.

Normally we have an initial consultation to discuss your child's needs. We would then have a couple of trial sessions so they can get a feel for therapy and decide if they would like to continue. We can have a discussion around number of sessions or if your teen would prefer to do open-ended therapy.

Most common issues I support people with:

- Anxiety
- Low self-esteem
- Relationship issues (e.g. family, parental separation, friendship issues, bullying)
- Low mood
- Stress (e.g. school, exams, coping with change or loss)

Fees

Online sessions are £80/session - concession rates are available.
