Hi, I'm Leandra, a fully qualified and experienced CBT Therapist in East Renfrewshire. I work from counselling rooms in Glasgow, Clarkston, Newton Mearns and East Kilbride. I also provide online video therapy sessions via a secure platform, allowing you to be based anywhere in the UK.

If you’re experiencing depression, persistent low mood, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed by your thoughts and emotions, you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a supportive and confidential space where we can explore what you’re going through at your own pace, helping you begin to feel more like yourself again. 

I have experience working with a range of challenges: Anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, loss and bereavement, relationship difficulties, stress, phobias, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), abuse, bullying, low self-esteem and confidence, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, and sleep issues (insomnia).

I also support clients with childhood experiences and early life challenges, as well as child-parent and parent-child relationship difficulties. Additionally, I work with individuals navigating pregnancy, birth, and motherhood challenges, expatriation, and cross-cultural or multicultural concerns. My approach is compassionate and tailored, helping you understand how these experiences may impact your wellbeing and providing strategies to build resilience and balance.

I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist:

-       COSCA validated Scotacs Diploma in Counselling & Groupwork

-       COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate

-       BACP Certificate of Proficiency

-       Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP)

Experience:

Before qualifying as a therapist, I worked internationally within multicultural societies, an experience that continues to shape my therapeutic approach. This background has given me a strong appreciation for diversity and the ability to work sensitively and effectively with people from a wide range of cultural, social, and personal backgrounds.
