Maggie | Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapist
Introduction
Maggie is a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), and former Co-Chair of Somatic Experiencing Association UK.
With more than 15 years' experience, she helps adults from diverse backgrounds recover from trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, grief and other overwhelming life experiences by working directly with the nervous system's natural capacity for healing and regulation.
Her primary specialism is supporting survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault. Drawing on both professional trainings and her own journey of healing from sexual trauma, she brings a depth of compassion, strength and understanding to the healing process that many find empowering.
Maggie is appreciated for her warm, grounded and practical approach. Clients tend to seek her out when they feel stuck despite years of personal development or traditional talking therapies. Her work helps people move beyond insight alone towards an uplifting change in how they feel, relate and live.

- In the first session we'll get the set up right together
- First step is to establish a felt-sense of safety in you
- Second step is to explore your resources
- Third step is to begin to work with a triggering event or relationship and help you understand and allow what your body needs to safely let go of the stored-up tension.
