Kayla | Counsellor

Introduction

Hi I’m Kayla I’m a creative, neurodivergent, fully qualified integrative Counsellor. Sessions together will be tailored to what you need, the pace is set by you, you choose what we talk about, with a focus on what helps you to feel safe. Its a space to think out loud without needing to perfect the words you use. Its a space to have honest conversations rather then any therapy cliches. sometimes its pretty obvious how we're feeling.

Our sessions will be a space for all emotions, I welcome sadness, anger, joy, hope, laughter, boredom and anxiety. I'd like to get to know your full self.

My job as your counsellor is essentially to help you not need one, that you can leave our work together feeling confident and expressing your whole self.

We'll focus on patterns that come up in relationships, work and day to day life. Your experience of life will always be understood in context, often that context is surviving what life chucks at us.

I believe that counselling should be accessible to everyone especially in this economy. You will notice I have lower prices. This is to provide quality sessions to those who otherwise would be outpriced. It is a shame that so many must wait for low cost therapy with only six sessions and I want to do my part to change this.

We all have challenges and difficulties in life, which we all try our best to cope with. However sometimes it may feel like the difficulty is ramped up to highest whilst everyone else is playing on easy mode.

Finding the right therapist for you can be a challenge, especially when there a lot of people offering what they think is best, its important to find someone who genuinely understands and sees you to support you through your journey.

if any of this felt familiar to you, I welcome you to pop me a message

Online therapy

Currently our sessions will be held online using Microsoft Teams. Each session lasts for 50 minutes, and we can discuss how often as per your preference. During Online Sessions you will need access to the internet and a private space where you’re undisturbed. If you share your home and others will be present, you will need your own room with the door closed. You might consider using a headset if there is any chance you will be overheard.

Prior to sessions I will send a link to your email address. To access the session click on the link. You will need to make sure that your camera and microphone are switched on so we can interact with one another.

We will both do our best to ensure there are no technical difficulties however at times it unavoidable. In case this occurs, we will contact each other by text or phone, should you wish to have the session over the phone we can continue or if this isn’t comfortable for you or you cannot answer calls let me know and we will make other arrangements.

We both agree that we will not take any audio or video recordings of our sessions.
