Aisha | Counsellor (Person centred)
Counselling Baldock
Hi, I’m Aisha, a person-centred counsellor based in Baldock, Hertfordshire offering sessions face to face, online or over the phone. I believe in the power of being truly heard.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stuck?
Life can feel heavy - whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, low self esteem or feeling lost without knowing why. You may be lying in bed at night, unable to make sense of thoughts racing around your head, or as if you are running on autopilot. Perhaps you mask how you feel to get through the day or worry that others won't understand.
It can be hard to explain these feelings to others, especially when you don’t fully understand them yourself. Perhaps you tell yourself “I shouldn’t feel this way” or worry what others might think. I offer a gentle neuro-affirming and non judgemental space where you can explore your feelings, unpack experiences and begin to heal-at your pace, in your way.
Together we can work to
- Understand and process difficult emotions
- Gain clarity and insight into your thoughts and patterns
- Reduce anxiety, burnout and overwhelm
- Build confidence, self acceptance and emotional regulation
- Feel empowered to make choices that reflect who you are authentically
My Approach
My counselling style is warm, gentle and collaborative. I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is to walk alongside you as we explore your self beliefs, patterns and emotions. I adapt my approach for different communication styles, sensory preferences and processing needs. Together we can uncover the confidence and strength that already exists within you.
To help decide if I am the right fit I offer a free 30-minute introductory session. This is a relaxed opportunity to meet, ask questions and see how it feels to talk together before committing.
Experience & Specialisms
I have worked with people facing a wide range of challenges including:
Autistic and ADHD clients- providing a safe space to unmask, explore identity and understand emotional regulation and burnout
Men’s mental health – supporting men with anxiety, anger, and depression offering an open space to talk about emotions that often are often left unspoken.
Bereavement and grief – working in a hospice setting with people navigating deep impact of loss.
Children and young people with neurological-divergence– helping to build confidence, regulate emotions, and improve self-esteem.
Adults with complex needs – drawing on over 25 years experience in social care supporting individuals with mental health issues, autism, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities.
