Hello, I'm Simone, a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor based in Colchester or remotely and I'm committed to supporting individuals on their journey towards emotional well-being. My counselling approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration.

I specialise in anxiety, depression, past trauma, stress and low self-esteem.

I also offer CBT for behavioural change.

How counselling can help -
whether you're navigating life transitions, coping with stress, depression or anxiety or if you are seeking support for a specific challenge, I am here to provide a safe space for exploration and healing.

I believe that each person is unique, and I tailor my therapeutic interventions to meet your specific needs. I integrate elements of Psychotherapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a Person-Centred foundation, to create a holistic and effective counselling experience.

What to expect in your first session - taking the first step towards seeking support is a courageous decision. If you're ready to explore your thoughts and feelings in a supportive and non-judgmental space, I invite you to contact me for an initial free conversation for more information on how I work and if my approach might be right for you.

Specialisations

I specialise in anxiety, depression, past trauma, stress and low self-esteem.

Most people have between eight and twelve sessions, some people choose to have more – everyone is unique.

Can I talk about anything?
Absolutely, any past or present issue that you want to explore.

Everything discussed is confidential, unless there is a risk of imminent serious harm or certain offences are disclosed, or a court orders disclosure – this will be explained in the first session.

Most common issues I support people with:

Anxiety, depression, past trauma, stress and low self-esteem.

Counselling can help you make sense of past experiences, resolve complicated feelings, or help you to learn to live with them and it can help you to gain a better understanding of yourself. Counselling can also help you to recognise unhelpful patterns in the way you think or act and find ways to change those patterns – if you choose to.

Counselling provides you with an opportunity to be heard, to discuss your problems, issues and challenging feelings or emotions in a confidential, space without fear of judgement. Many people come to counselling because they want to change something in their life, or to make sense of and come to terms with a past experience and they find it easier to do that with some professional help rather than struggling on alone.
