Introduction

Hi, I'm Sophie, a trauma-informed integrative counsellor, I have a 30 year career in learning and development, working with people to support them personally and professionally. I'm a registered member of the BACP and NCPS accredited and passionate about my work and committed to sitting alongside you, so you feel truly seen, heard and understood. Together, we’ll shape sessions around what feels most helpful for you, supporting you to move forward with greater clarity, confidence and self-compassion.


How can therapy help?

You might be suffering in silence and feel exhausted trying to 'be strong', often for other people and your own tank is running on empty. You might be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress or lacking in self confidence and not know where to turn. Perhaps you're facing relationship difficulties, grief, trauma or a major life transition that feels so overwhelming right now and you can't switch off. It could be past experiences that are still affecting you, or a sense that something just 'isn’t right'. Often we may not know the source of our pain, yet the weight and burden of carrying it feels very real, overwhelming and painful.

Whatever you're going through, you deserve a space where you can gently let go of the weight. We can work through it together, at a pace that feels right for you. Therapy can help you feel more grounded and connected to your true self, supporting your mental and emotional wellbeing.

I am also passionate about supporting women through the perimenopause and menopause. This period can bring profound emotional, mental and physical changes. You may be suddenly experiencing anxiety, low mood, sleep difficulties or a sense of losing yourself or you identify. 


Whatever you're going through you don’t have to navigate and carry it on your own. I offer a calm, supportive, non-judgemental space where you can drop whatever you're holding, make sense of what you’re experiencing and reconnect with yourself.


Starting Therapy
You may be feeling anxious about reaching out, and starting therapy can feel daunting. People often worry they won’t know what to say or how to “be” in therapy, all of this is very normal and completely understandable.  No matter what you bring into the room, you will always be accepted for who you are and where you are at. I will be there with you and we'll start figuring things out together.


If trauma has impacted your life and you're considering therapy, I'm here to help.  Counselling works best when there's genuine connection, therefore I offer an introductory call to see if you feel we are a good fit. Together, we can agree on what would work best for you. I'm here to listen, support and walk alongside you, whatever you're going through.

I specialise in supporting women through the menopause/perimenopause and the profound emotional, mental and physical changes this life transition brings. I work with individual on a short and long term basis. We can discuss and explore what might feel right for you.
