Michaela | Psychotherapist
Psychotherapy South East London
As an integrative psychotherapist my approach draws from different styles offering my clients support that is more tailored to them. Through reflection and dialogue, I offer space to uncover underlying beliefs, challenge limiting narratives, and develop new ways of coping and engaging with life. Your experience will be one of deep exploration, where we engage in reflective dialogue to uncover the meanings behind your emotions, patterns, and challenges. Rather than a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach, our work will be a collaborative process, helping you make sense of your experiences, develop new perspectives, and find relief in a way that feels true to you.
Taking the first step toward a healthier, more balanced life is a powerful decision, but it can also be a daunting one. So let's start first with a relaxed, open conversation to explore your needs and see if this feels right for you, without any obligation to continue.
I provide psychotherapy and counselling services both online and in-person.
Appointments, including the initial consultation, are scheduled in advance.
Regular sessions are held at the same time and day each week, flexibility may be accommodated in special circumstances, with prior discussion.
Online therapy
Online Sessions are delivered via Zoom, ensuring a secure and confidential experience, all initial consultations are online sessions.Qualifications and registrations

Specialisations and Expertises
I support people with a variety of challenges, including:
-
Relationship issues and family conflict: navigating tension, communication difficulties, and repeating patterns.
-
Anxiety and depression: helping you understand, manage, and work with persistent worry, low mood, or overwhelm.
-
Substance use: exploring coping strategies, motivations, and alternative ways to manage stress or emotional pain.
-
Self-esteem and low confidence: building self-compassion, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.
-
Life transitions and identity: supporting you through major life changes or personal, cultural, sexual, or gender identity exploration.
-
Spirituality: exploring beliefs, meaning, and how these connect to personal growth and wellbeing.
The number of sessions varies depending on your goals. Some clients find short-term work (6–24 sessions) helpful for specific challenges, while others choose longer-term (open ended) therapy for deeper exploration. Together, we’ll discuss what feels right for you, ensuring therapy is practical, meaningful, and supportive from the start.
Most common issues I support people with:
Relationship Issues
Difficulties in relationships can show up as conflict, communication problems, trust issues, or repeating harmful patterns. I support people in exploring the impact of their past and present relationships on current challenges, helping them develop healthier boundaries, deeper self-understanding, and more fulfilling connections.
Anxiety
Anxiety can feel overwhelming and exhausting, affecting both mind and body. I work with people experiencing persistent worry, tension, or a sense of being on edge, offering space to understand their anxiety and develop supportive ways of managing it.
Substance Use
Substance use can be a way of coping with emotional pain, stress, or uncertainty. I offer a non-judgemental space to explore your relationship with substances, understand what is driving the behaviour, and consider alternative ways of coping and caring for yourself.
Life Transitions
Life changes like career shifts, relationship endings, or moving to a new stage in life, can feel disorienting,or overwhelming. I support people in navigating transitions, helping them process change, build resilience, and find clarity about their next steps.
Identity
Questions around identity can leave you feeling uncertain, disconnected, or unsure of who you are. I work with people exploring their personal, cultural, racial, sexual, or gender identity, supporting them in understanding themselves more fully and living in alignment with their values.
