Specialisations and Expertises

I specialise in working with people experiencing obsessive-compulsive difficulties.

This work focuses on understanding intrusive thoughts, distressing memories or beliefs that leave you feeling flawed, unsafe or judged. Over time, these experiences can affect confidence, self-worth and how you relate to yourself.

Many people I work with don’t initially connect their difficulties to past experiences, but together we often find that earlier life events, sometimes not thought of as ‘trauma’, have played a role. I offer a supportive space to understand these links and help you move forward with practical, evidence-based strategies.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obsessive compulsive difficulties don’t always look the way people expect. It isn’t just about visible rituals like checking or cleaning, it can be constant doubt, intrusive thoughts that feel disturbing or out of character or getting stuck in loops of overthinking, analysing or seeking reassurance. Many people don’t realise this could be OCD and, instead, feel confused, isolated or even concerned about what their thoughts might mean about them.

If any of this feels familiar, it may be worth exploring further. My approach is centred on building a shared understanding of what’s going on for you and what might be keeping things stuck. While some people feel concerned that they’ll be pushed into doing things they’re not ready for, I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we focus on the thinking patterns and meanings behind your experiences, working at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Although I specialise in working with different obsessive
compulsive difficulties, I regularly work with people who have PTSD, Trauma, BDD, BFRBs, Depression, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Panic & more... Whatever you are carrying, you do not have to keep carrying it alone. With the right support, change is possible. Please reach out/get in touch, I am happy to answer any questions you might have. I recommend sending an email to enquire...
