Welcome to my therapy page and thank you for visiting. If you are here, I imagine you are suffering in life in some way. Whatever your background or experiences, your feelings are valid and I hope I can help. I am passionate about what I do and you will have my utmost support to achieve your goals.

I have a special interest in neurodivergent client work, and have particular knowledge of adult autism and its associated difficulties.

In addition, I have experience of helping people with issues such as depression and anxiety, grief, loss and painful events and transitions in life such as bereavement, chronic illness, relationship difficulties, and workplace problems such as stress and bullying.

I also help those whose childhoods may be casting a shadow over their adult lives for reasons such as  abuse and neglect.

How do I work?

Depending on the issues you face, I am here to faciliate the goals you yourself set.
I use a range of counselling skills and theories to do this, including person-centred theory, CBT, attachment theory and transactional analysis. I generally use these in a blended approach which we counsellors call 'integrative'.

If you have suffered a bereavement, I use established bereavement theories to help you make sense of this painful and sometimes chaotic experience.

Through the relationship we build in counselling, we often discover how you are relating to other people.
We examine your thinking, feelings and the way you behave, and how these may all be linked.
I work with over 18s only, remotely via secure video call.

About me

I have an empathic and gentle approach and adapt to each client's needs, as they may change through the counselling process. Along the way, clients often gain in confidence that they can tackle the difficulties they face, and develop different and more beneficial coping mechanisms.

Sometimes we are suffering as a result of events beyond our control and we may wish to come to terms with a major change we did not choose... or at times we may wish to examine our own choices or patterns of decision-making or the way we relate to others.

Ultimately, I work in partnership with you to help you achieve whatever will make you happier.
