Leave a message and I will contact you as soon as possible.
I'm open to working with anyone, embracing diversity. As well as being a registered counsellor, my professional work spans twenty-five years within the health service as a senior audiologist directly involved with hearing impairment and people of all ages and abilities. This gave me a rich experience and grounding to become a counsellor.
Why choose me? How can counselling help?
Aside from being an Audiologist and a Counsellor, I've worked as Complementary Sound-Therapy practitioner too. This makes me somewhat unique, being trained in different Sound and Hearing modalities. I feel my practice has always been about empathy and communication. Often its about the difficult unsaid stuff rather than what is on the surface. Sometimes its not what we say to others but how we feel about ourselves. This causes the tension, the stress, the anxiety. We try to control what life throws our way but those unexpected curve-balls leave us reeling. We can become 'ungrounded', 'at sea' struggling to make sense of our feelings and emotions. There seems no words.
Person centred counselling follows a Humanistic approach. Non-directive, non-judgemental. It is all about 'you' and gives you the opportunity to talk about your feelings and focus on your needs. I can provide you with a safe compassionate space to do this, explore issues, look at possible strategies and find a sense of movement away from feeling stuck, lost or being alone. I will sit there alongside as an equal.
What experience do I have?
A general maturity working with people for many years and the right attributes to be a counsellor.

You can finish at any time but all I ask is you attend the last session.
